Those who hope in the Lord     will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles;     they will run and not grow weary,     they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:31 Photo by Anna |

Centering Prayer Tuesdays at 2:00 in the sanctuary ÂIn centering prayer we begin to shift our attention from the boats and objects on the surface to the river itself, to that which sustains all our faculties and is their source. The river in this analogy has no qualities or characteristics. It is spiritual and limitless because it is a participation in GodÂs being. - Thomas Keating, Open Mind, Open Heart

| Wednesday Holy Eucharist - Â 11 am Paul Jones, Bishop, 1941 Â Â Â Â Â The Fourth Bishop of Utah, the Rt. Rev. Paul Jones is the only Utahn to have an Episcopal Church Feast Day (Sept. 4th) He was born on January 28, 1880, and died September 4, 1941.
Bishop Jones was once forced to resign as the Bishop of Utah because he was a pacifist advocating and publicly calling for peace instead of joining a nation wanting to enter World War One.
Later, the Episcopal Church reconciled his dedication to his beliefs concerning peace and gave him back a seat in the House of Bishops and in 1969, a Feast Day. We honor him as both our Bishop and the Vicar of St. JohnÂs, Logan.
To learn more about Bishop Paul Jones, head to this link for the full video. |

We all face hardships of one kind or another, yet we donÂt have to face them alone. Through prayer and loving-kindness, we minister to one another for our own sufferings and for those of our family and friends and the world. |
