Reverend Maggie Bourne-Raiswell

Our Interim:

During the search process to call a new rector, our interim priest is The Rev. Maggie Bourne-Raiswell. There are also two other retired Episcopal priests, who live in Port Angeles, who help on occasion with our services and pastoral care. But, there are actually hundreds of ministers at St. Andrew’s. Each member strives to follow the Mission of St. Andrew’s: "To know Christ and to make Christ Known."

Worship Committee: The worship committee meets on the first Wednesday evening of the month. Made up of representative from the music staff, altar guild, and led by other volunteers and clergy, the worship committee seeks to aid in planning services. Many innovative approaches to worship have been tried at St. Andrew’s including liturgical Dance, and Lay preaching. Special liturgies including the Christmas Eve service and Easter Vigil are created with the guidance of these volunteers.

Acolytes:  Acolytes are usually youth who help set up the altar and aid in Communion. Adults are also encouraged to ask for training to become Acolytes.

Lay Eucharistic Ministers: These ministers are used at each service. They assist in the giving of Communion.

Choir: The Choir sings at the second service each Sunday.  They hold practice during the middle of the week.

Lectors:  Members of the congregation who read the Old Testament lesson and Psalm during worship.

Greeters and Ushers:  These members greet at the front door, give bulletins, help members to be seated and pass around the offering plate.
