Our Rector, The Rev. Gail Wheatley:

On December 21, 2008 St. Andrew's welcomed its new Rector, The Rev. Gail Wheatley.  The Rev. Wheatley had most recently served as Rector at St. Mark's in Havre, Montana.  Before answering the call to ordained ministry, the Rev. Wheatley served in a variety of lay leadership positions at her home church in Great Falls, Montana. She also had a 27-year career as a physical therapist and held many state and national positions in the physical therapy professional association. The Rev. Wheatley’s husband, Doug, accompanies her in the move to Port Angeles. The Wheatleys have two grown sons, one in Great Falls, Montana and the other a college Senior in Evansville, IN.

“Advent is an especially appropriate time for the beginning of a new ministry at St. Andrew’s and St. Swithin’s in Forks.  As their new priest, I have been waiting with them in prayer and anticipation of this new beginning.  As the world begins anew with the arrival of the Christ Child, our ministries are renewed in confident and joyful hope by the by the fulfillment of God’s promises to be with us always”
